At OSC, we are passionate about providing support for IB Diploma Programme students. Our experienced IB experts visit schools around the world delivering free, pedagogical presentations to IB students. 

Every year, we visit over 200 IB schools around the world. Designed to be an extra tool to help IB Coordinators manage their cohorts, the presentations offer students different perspectives from an external, experienced IB expert.

Each presentation is interactive and covers key skills, tips, tricks and advice crucial for IB success. Parents are also invited to listen and learn, whilst one presentation has been designed specifically for parents only.

A written Extended Essay does not necessarily mean it is finished. In this presentation, our expert explains how to earn maximum marks using simple checks.

New EE (new 2018 guide)

Audience: DP1 students and teachers only
The IBO has implemented radical changes to the Extended Essay experience. The process of learning that takes place is now central to the assessment criteria. Get some help starting the EE successfuly with the new criteria as a focus.

Rosanna Montalbano

Rosanna has taught the IBDP for 14 years: English A1, Spanish A1, Spanish B and TOK. She has also been a CAS Coordinator and is a US College Counsellor. She has taught on OSC’s IB Revision Courses for 14 years, mentors new teachers who join OSC and is an integral part of OSC’s classroom quality control. Rosanna has taught AP Spanish, English and has an MA in Hispanics and BA in Italian Studies.


A very big thank you to Rosanna - her presentation was really superb and created a real buzz among the students!




Joyce Halsey

Joyce has twenty years of experience as an IB classroom teacher (English A and Theory of Knowledge) and DP and CAS Coordinator, as well as Head of Upper School/High School Principal, in the UK, Europe, US and Africa.

Also an assistant examiner for both IB subjects and OSC course teacher in English, she brings multiple perspectives on student learning and motivation, as well as overall IB curriculum and assessment knowledge, which enable her to connect with audiences ranging from teachers to parents as well as students themselves.


I wanted to email to say thank you Joyce. The feedback from the students was fantastic. The teachers said the form 11s returned from the lunchtime session buzzing with ideas.
The evening session was also great. We have never had such a good turnout. The staff who were present were talking about it this morning and commented on how compelling and informative the presentation was.



Dan Richardson

Dan is one of our IB Consultants and spends his time going to conferences and visiting schools in the US.  Dan has a wide range of IB experience including Coordinator, Examiner, Teacher, EE and CAS Coordinator, Regional Officer and proud parent of two IB students.  Dan has also taught Economics at the Harvard Summer School since 2004.
