OXFORD, UK

In addition to being the home of the 38 colleges that comprise the University of Oxford, the city is rich in culture and history. From Shakespeare in the Park to literary tours featuring authors like Lewis Carroll and J.R.R. Tolkien, there is plenty to see and do. Outside of class, students enjoy visiting the city's museums, shopping in the covered market, punting on the river Thames, and eating in the cafes and restaurants in the city centre.

FACILITIES

Accommodation

Most students have their own private single study bedrooms, although some have shared rooms for two people. However, if you are attending with a friend make sure you let us know so we can make sure you are near each other in college.

We may be able to room friends of the same gender together, although this depends on room availability and isn't possible in all colleges.

Male and female students live separately, to ensure privacy. However, we do have a few mixed-gender corridors with en-suite (private bathrooms). If you would prefer to be on a single-gender corridor then you can tell us on your application form.

En-suite rooms (with private bathroom) are available to our students. You can select this option on your application form – book early to avoid disappointment!

There is a college common room where you can meet with friends to study, chat or watch TV, and laundry facilities and free internet access are also available.

Disability Provision

  • We always take health conditions and physical disabilities into consideration and we are happy to assist in any way we can.
  • We can organise rooms which are on the ground floor and near to your classrooms if required.
  • Please contact our team to discuss any questions you may have, or to let us know how we can help you.

Catering

All provided meals are served in the college dining hall:

  • Breakfast is served every day.

  • Lunch is served Monday - Saturday each week.

  • Dinner is served on Fridays & Sundays only, including the day of arrival.

There is always a good selection of food available and plenty of it. You can choose from meat, fish and vegetarian options; soups; salad bar and desserts. The college caters for dietary requirements, including Halal meat, on request. You can tell us about any dietary requirements in advance on your application form.

Monday-Saturday evenings you have the chance to explore Oxford with other students and make the most of the wide variety of local restaurants. There's something for every taste!

OSC enjoys a longstanding relationship with many Oxford University Colleges and is in a fantastic position to make use of university resources. However, OSC is an independent company separate from the University. OSC contracts with the Colleges for the use of facilities, but has no formal connection with The University of Oxford.
