Class Content

  • Our teachers take students through the syllabus and work with them on the key points they need to know.
  • They will help students with their academic problems, answer all their questions and help them perfect their exam technique.
  • Priority is given to the core syllabus – options are covered as time allows.

Q. How can you tell which areas of the syllabus I want to revise?

A. You will complete an online questionnaire for each of your selected subjects. This allows you to tell us which areas of the syllabus you particularly need to review and which options you would like to cover.

Private Study

  • Your teachers will set 2 hours of tests, exercises and exam questions to complete outside class.
  • This enables you to consolidate the syllabus content and exam skills you have learned so far, and to prepare for the next day's classes - when your teachers will review your work with you.

Mathematics HL

Whether you enjoy the elegance and power of mathematics or are struggling with the basic principles, maths is a vital skill for the IB Diploma Programme. OSC’s Maths HL Revision Course will help you understand the key skills required by each of the topics, and then guide you on using these skills through work on past examination questions.

Exam practice includes short and long answer questions, with and without a calculator, so that you feel equally comfortable with Papers 1 and 2. The course will review the knowledge needed for success in the earlier parts of the paper, and give you the techniques and confidence required when tackling the unfamiliar questions at the end of the papers. It will advise you on how to make the best use of your 5-minute reading time and will go through the most common errors that students are subject to. To ensure that your time is used efficiently, the Options are not covered, as students will have studied different options. If you need help with your option, we recommend getting the OSC Revision Guides. Don’t forget to bring your GDC and your formula book!

All OSC classes are tailored to the needs of the group and provide a wealth of exam practice and advice on exam techniques. Because many students come to our courses, we can often place students in classes with other students of comparable ability in the subject.
